Literature Text

Write me a song with thine eyelashes;
That song from th' richest depths
Of thy tenderest heart--

Whose eyes are those that capture mine whim
And mine ev'ry thought?
O! You do, my sweetest one

Surely th' morning envies our love
For it hath nothing fragrant as you
O! None could compare, my dear one
Well, looking further into Elizabethan English I found some old recipes. Some more palletable than others -and I decided to take a swing at it. I don't think I embellished it enough or quite got the feel about it. I don't know, this kind of thing is extremely foreign too me.

It feels unfinished, and I will likely add to it but I don't know what to add without tarnishing it at this point.

edit: Changed some of the formatting and line set-up. I'm still trying to figure out how to keep the same feel about it as well as what I can add to it, this is certainly not finished yet.

Who, may I enquire, was the inspirer/inspiress? It hath most assuredly earn'd my liking in particular. It very much appealeth unto me how heedfully you seem to have gather'd all the poetic, honey'd words together.

You have askt for suggestions. In mine opinion, attempt to keep the number of the syllables on the same or similar level. With th' earsomme length and rhythm one may find the whole of the composition quite euphonious to read out aloud.

Once anew, well penn'd!
